Yes, that was very interesting and it seems there are about 75 to 100 steps before making the finished product, a hearing aid. Interesting …..

I work for siemens hearing aid company. making new hearing aids is a very nice and satisfiying job. This hearing aid is very shabby lol. Siemens are alot neater than that!. Torontomapleeafer the BTE’s are made in a simliar way although i do not make BTE is make new ITE’s they still have the same componants such as mic’s,reciver, amp, volume controll, push buttons, trimmers. Anymore Question that anyone needs awnsering ill be more that happy to help if possible!….

I make these, maybe it was true then that it took more than 2 days to make, but now its about 3 hours for a pair. maybe 5 hours if something goes wrong.

Hi geong3677
I make them for a living, this problem is kinda frequent. If they are too small: it may be because the liquid in your ear did not went everywhere or the technician took off too much fabric in the buffering phase.
If they are too big, it could be because the technician made a layer of wax too big before building the matrix, or he made a mistake and try to patch it up and used too much liquid (acrylic or U.V.)
Your ears are one of the most sensible place, the smallest flaw can be felt

sorry, I want to correct myself… You can not add acrylic, you have to redo it all over. so if its U.V. you can patch up errors by adding some more, but not acrylic… sorry for the misinformation

This is really interesting…I’m a hearing aid wearer for 30 plus years, so this is a good one to see how the hearing aids are made.
