Olivia is one of the first children in Australia to receive Siemens Aquaris Hearing Aids from Australian Hearing. She loves having fun in the pool and spa, but has been unable to hear near water. How to get NHS Glasses?

I’ve never had my eyes tested before, but I’m struggling to read sometimes. Probably just old age. I was told that you have to pay for your own glasses these days, is that true? Do I even have to pay for the eye test? How can I get a £800 digital hearing aid on the NHS but not a pair of glasses?
I’ve just seen an ad that states ‘adult spectacles from £40 with NHS voucher’. How do I get this voucher? Is it for anyone, or just those on benefits?
Surely I can get some plain, black, cheap reading glasses on the NHS?
I’ve been using those cheap reading glasses from the supermarket for a while, now I think it’s time I had a proper test and some proper glasses.
